FAQ
We offer telehealth services for patients residing in Maryland or Virginia or Florida who are interested in treatment with semaglutide or tirzepatide. Here’s how it works:
Monthly Video Appointments: You will have a monthly video appointment with one of our medical providers. During these appointments, your provider will monitor your progress, address any concerns, and adjust your treatment plan as needed.
Convenient Medication Delivery: Once your treatment plan is established, the medication will be shipped directly to your home. This ensures you have easy and timely access to your medication without needing to visit the clinic.
Telehealth allows you to receive high-quality care from the comfort of your home, making it easier to stay on track with your treatment and health goals.
No, we do not prescribe Phentermine or any controlled substances over telehealth. Currently, we offer semaglutide and tirzepatide through our telehealth services.
You must live in Maryland or Virginia or Florida to participate in our Telehealth program.
GLP-1 receptor agonists, such as semaglutide and tirzepatide maybe suitable for you if:
-
You’re seeking a long-term solution for weight loss.
-
You have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or higher, or
-
You have a BMI of 27 or higher with at least one weight-related health condition (e.g., high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol).
You should not use these medications if any of the following apply:
-
Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC)
-
Diagnosis of Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2)
-
Type 1 diabetes
-
Current use of another GLP-1 receptor agonist
-
History of pancreatitis

Chronic kidney disease, unless cleared by a nephrologist

Phentermine is another medication used for weight management. However, please note:
-
Phentermine is only available through in-office consultations. Telehealth prescriptions for phentermine are not provided.
-
It is typically prescribed for short-term use and may be considered if GLP-1 medications are not suitable for you.
-
A thorough medical evaluation is required to determine if phentermine is appropriate for your specific health needs.
Our patients often mention brief moments of nausea, changes in digestion like constipation or diarrhea, and feeling more tired than usual. Many have also noticed a reduced desire for alcohol.
Our team works with you to manage these symptoms and provide a positive experience throughout your treatment.
Yes, unlike vaccines or many other shots you may think of, this injection is done with a tiny needle that only goes under the skin, not into muscle. Patients often don’t realize we already gave the shot.
We do not process any insurance. Unfortunately, most insurance companies refuse to cover medical weight loss, but we are happy to provide invoices for reimbursement if your insurance does. Some patients are able to get reimbursed for the visit.
