How does telehealth work?

We offer telehealth services for patients residing in Maryland or Virginia who are interested in treatment with semaglutide or tirzepatide. Here’s how it works:

Monthly Video Appointments: You will have a monthly video appointment with one of our medical providers. During these appointments, your provider will monitor your progress, address any concerns, and adjust your treatment plan as needed.

Convenient Medication Delivery: Once your treatment plan is established, the medication will be shipped directly to your home. This ensures you have easy and timely access to your medication without needing to visit the clinic.

Telehealth allows you to receive high-quality care from the comfort of your home, making it easier to stay on track with your treatment and health goals.

Do you prescribe Phentermine over Telehealth?

No, we do not prescribe Phentermine or any controlled substances over telehealth. Currently, we offer semaglutide and tirzepatide through our telehealth services.

Where do I need to live for Telehealth?

You must live in Maryland or Virginia to participate in our Telehealth program.

Am I a good fit for this treatment?

This treatment is a particularly good fit for you if you are looking for a long term solution, you have taken phentermine or another stimulant medication (like ADHD meds) before, and/or you need to lose more than 10-15 lbs.

You can not be treated with semaglutide if you have:

Medullary Thyroid cancer
Multiple endocrine neoplasia
Type 1 Diabetics
Type 2 diabetics already taking a GLP-1 medication
History of pancreatitis
Chronic kidney disease (unless cleared by nephrologist)
Nursing, Pregnant, or trying to get pregnant

You can still use phentermine if you have any other medical conditions not listed above.

What are the common side effects?

Is the injection really painless

Yes, unlike vaccines or many other shots you may think of, this injection is done with a tiny needle that only goes under the skin, not into muscle. Patients often don’t realize we already gave the shot.

Do you take insurance?

We do not process any insurance. Unfortunately, most insurance companies refuse to cover medical weight loss, but we are happy to provide invoices for reimbursement if your insurance does. Some patients are able to get reimbursed for the visit.
