At our weight loss center, we prioritize transparency and realistic expectations. The results with Semaglutide are individualized, and we adhere to the clinical trial dosing regimen, adjusting every 4 weeks as needed. On average, once you reach the full dose at week 17, a steady weight loss of 1-3 pounds per week is commonly observed. The pace of results varies among individuals. While some experience a weight loss of 5 pounds after the initial injection, others may not observe significant changes until 6-8 weeks into the treatment. Our approach involves starting with low doses and gradually increasing to mitigate potential side effects. It takes a minimum of 17 weeks to reach the full 2.4mg dose, ensuring a careful and effective progression toward your weight loss goals.

Yes, unlike vaccines or many other shots you may think of, this injection is done with a tiny needle that only goes under the skin, not into muscle. Patients often don’t realize we already gave the shot.
We do not process any insurance. Unfortunately, most insurance companies refuse to cover medical weight loss, but we are happy to provide invoices for reimbursement if your insurance does. Some patients are able to get reimbursed for the visit.
We have telehealth available for patients who live in Maryland or Virginia are interested in treatment with semaglutide. You will have a monthly video appointment with a medical provider and the medication will be shipped to your house.
